How your money will be used
After supporting ACG's parataxonomist program on an annual basis for several years, ICFC has
created the Parataxonomist Trust Fund to permanently endow the positions for five
parataxonomists.
Our initial contribution is $600,000 and we hope to raise a further $400,000 to build the fund to $1 million. Your contribution to this fund will be greatly appreciated and will make a lasting — indeed a permanent — contribution to tropical conservation. Another Canadian inspired by the work at ACG organized a fundraising event in Toronto this year. The Mariposa Ball, organized by Jessica di Mauro, was held in Toronto on September 29, 2011. The keynote speaker was Dr. Daniel H. Janzen, world-renowned tropical ecologist and conservationist and our project partner. This was a fun and fascinating evening that succeeded in raising significant additional funds (final figures not yet in) for the Parataxonomist Trust Fund. |
